Mercedes G. Pineda

Mercedes founded Pineda Workplace Solutions to give Colorado businesses the kind of employment counsel she wanted when she was the client: practical, responsive, and priced so there are no surprises.

 

She brings a decade of employment law and workplace investigations experience from both sides of the table. She began her career defending employers in private practice, then served as counsel in the public sector. From there, she moved in-house as employment counsel, and later into corporate ethics and compliance. Most recently, she served as Director of a global Business Integrity Office, where she led employee misconduct investigations spanning six continents, from the United States and Latin America to Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia, and advised senior leadership on sensitive workplace matters.

 

That in-house experience shapes how she works. Mercedes knows what a GC or HR leader needs: a clear answer, a realistic view of risk, and someone who picks up the phone. She has advised public and private organizations, including global companies, in industries such as pet food manufacturing, fintech, aerospace and defense, environmental testing, food services, and housing.

 

Mercedes is fluent in Spanish and works directly with Spanish-speaking employees and witnesses, without an interpreter. She is the Immediate Past President of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association.

 

She holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
